The 2006 to 2015 GM Duramax diesel are prone to Allison TCM failure issues. The most common issue is U0101 “loss of communication to the transmission control module”. Hard transmission slamming from gear to gear, range shift inhibited and gear indicator not displaying, and on the newer trucks transmission temperature not displaying.
